While Hits Radio presenter Gemma Atkinson was talking to Christine Lampard on Loose Women, ITV viewers wondered whether the soap actress was hiding a big celebration after soundlike like she mentioned a “wedding”. The Emmerdale favourite went on to explain what would happen if she were to marry Strictly Come Dancing star Gorka Marquez.
Christine had pressed: “We are inundated with comments, it may have just been a slip earlier on, because people seem to think you said wedding accidentally when you meant to say whether.
“They’re trying to say, are you hiding something this weekend?” she asked.
“Never mind a birthday party, it could be a bigger celebration and you’re not just telling us!”
Gemma quickly replied: “Do you know what?
“We’re not really fussed about getting married.
“We have said if we were ever to do it now, we would want to wait until Mia is old enough so she can be involved.”
It comes just days after the Strictly star revealed she had worries about where her romance would go with Gorka after the tour ended in 2017.
Gemma told her former Hollyoaks co-stars Kelly Condron and Alex carer in a new video how they were inseparable during the tour.
The Emmerdale star divulged: “When we finished Strictly, we went on tour, and we were together every day.
“After the tour, we said we want it to be something, but the thing with Strictly is, and you’ll know from theatres and tours and stuff, everything is done for you.”
She explained: “When we were travelling anywhere, they booked your travel, they booked your hotel, it’s a very nice, comfy bubble that you’re in for a bit with Strictly where all you need to do is get your call sheet, pack your case, and everything is done for you.
“So there is no kind of real life stress or issues, or worries to deal with and in the back of my head, I thought, once this is all over, we might annoy the hell out of each other.”

The BBC star added: “You know when you say it’s like the bubble you’re in, and once the show ends and you’re like, ‘Ugh, this is real life.’
“So we said let’s just go away, the two of us, and see what happens.
“We went to Tenerife for five days.”
Things couldn’t have worked out better for the pair after the show ended in early 2018, with them welcoming their daughter Mia together in July last year.
